European Mobility Week 2021

This year’s EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK theme is “Safe and Healthy with Sustainable Mobility”.

The choice of this year’s theme pays tribute to the hardships felt by Europe – and the world – throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. It also reflects on the opportunities for change resulting from this unprecedented health crisis in Europe.

Cities and urban administrations have established creative, resilient responses to the pandemic. This year, EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK celebrates the resilience of cities and their achievements, while seeking to sustain this momentum.

For this occasion, we invite students to join #ridetoschool initiative and travel actively to school.

Young European Ambassador’s Open Day

Europe House Skopje organized YEA Open Day – an opportunity for young people from 🇲🇰 to learn more about the current call for Young European Ambassadors #YEA.
Through open conversations throughout the day with Aleksandar, Sara, Ana, Donna and Vojdan, they were informed ‘first hand’ about what it means to be a Young European Ambassador.

The call is open until July 1️⃣0️⃣

#YouthTalks with Macedonian athletes and sports activists

Despite the pandemic, we found ways to stay in close contact with the young people in 🇲🇰. We have replaced high school visits with virtual meetings, connecting young people and Young European Ambassadors #YEA both across borders and in the Western Balkans.
🇪🇺 Ambassador David Geer had the first #YouthTalks – with Macedonian athletes and sports activists. Sport is a passion, a profession, a lifestyle, but also a driver of change. With the cheerful approach of #YEA Ana Kjupeva we openly talked about sports in terms of gender equality, inclusion, socialization, mental health and regional approach.
We had the conversation from Europe House Skopje, but for the first time we were simultaneously connected with Europe House in Kriva Palanka and Strumica.
