The Europe House network organized several events to mark the Day of Women and Girls in Science. This day was another opportunity to promote full and inclusive access and participation in science, technology and mathematics for women and girls. Gender equality is a global priority, supporting young children, their education and the ability to explore their ideas are fundamental to development and integration.

Europe House Veles
Visit to the Secondary School Gymnasium “Kocho Racin” – Veles. Together with the biology, physics and chemistry professors we turned theory into practice through simple experiments, demonstrations and practical work.
From exploring life in biology, through understanding forces in physics, to observing reactions in chemistry, the students experienced science beyond the textbook: curious, practical and inspiring.

At the Faculty of Economics – Prilep, high school and college students, in the form of “speed dating”, had the opportunity to talk with professors and scientists, to hear personal stories of success, challenges and professional growth, and to receive encouragement for their own academic and career paths. The event had a clear goal – to highlight the importance of women and girls in science, to encourage self-confidence, curiosity and ambition among the younger generations.
