This year the GCRP will take place in Istanbul from 10 – 13 May 2022. The programme will be conducted in English.

The application form must be completed in English. Applications from those not working in the cultural or creative sectors will not be considered.
Applicants working at the European Union institutions or any of our consortium partners (Goethe Institut, IETM, European Cultural Foundation and University of Siena) are unfortunately not eligible for the Global Cultural Relations Programme.

Regional Network for Cultural Diversity – READ is a regional EU-funded project, with the aim to enable civil society actors to foster and contribute to intercultural tolerance and democratic values with a particular focus on youth. The Project is implemented by Goethe-Institut Skopje together with the partner organizations: Association KROKODIL (Serbia), Center for Balkan Cooperation- Loja (North Macedonia), Instituti i Librit dhe i Promocionit (Albania), Kalem Culture Association (Turkey), and Qendra Multimedia (Kosovo). The project started on the 1st of September, 2020, and will last till 31th of August, 2024.
For our second open call for applications, support will be given to 30 Civil Society organizations in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Turkey in order to increase access and awareness of literature beyond the national context. CSOs are very important for the success of this project, as they wield considerable influence in culture and social change.

Europe House invites you to participate in the #GREENFILM to bring to the three Europe Houses audience your creative ideas, in the form of short documentaries or fiction that address environmental protection.
The #GREENFILM is a filmmaking activity that will engage young people 15-25 years old. They are invited to participate in the competition where their task will be to produce short films 30sec to 3min with the main focus on identifying problems related to the environment. This activity will get young people to engage in showing these problems in a creative way while also getting them to explore their future careers in filmmaking.
They will also submit their work to us. The next step will be to select 10 best films from a professional jury and organize the night of the screening of the films. On the screening night, we will also announce the winner „Best of all“ and the best film will win a professional camera.
Eligible to participate are:
-All young people from 15 to 25 years old.
– For all Macedonian citizens.
– Movie duration from 30 seconds to 3 minutes.
Duration of a competition
The competition lasts from 00:00 on 03.11.2021 until 00:00 on 20.12.2021.
Participation in competition
Each participant/team can participate in the prize competition only in their own name and by participating confirms that all personal data provided are only his personal data and that he agrees with these rules and conditions of the prize competition.
A condition for participation in the competition is for participants to be familiar with and agree with all the rules of the prize competition. By participating in the competition, it is considered that the participant has agreed to all the terms and conditions regarding the prize competition.
The video can be in Macedonian, Albanian, or English.
Insulting content videos will not be considered (vulgar or offensive words; elements of aggressive nationalism, xenophobia, and anti-Semitism; religious, ideological, political propaganda; racial, cultural, social, religious, ethnic, non-religious, and other)
The video can be in any format (Animation, documentary, etc.), the video can be without dialogue, verbal or non-verbal, in the form of a sketch or other.
– Contestants can also share a small 10-second movie promo which they can promote on Instagram with the hashtags #GreenFilm2021 #EuropeHouseSkopje #EuropeHouseStrumica #EuropeHouseKrivaPalanka
Participants do not need to have any prior training as filmmakers. It is enough to have the idea and desire to produce a film.
Movies can be shot with any shooting device: camera, smartphone, iPad, etc. The application deadline is December 1, 2021. The final product (film) should be sent to Europe House email address euinfo@europehouse.mk as a Vimeo link.
From all applications, 10 films will be selected by a professional jury from different sectors to be screened at MKC. Meanwhile, the professional jury from different sectors will select the best film of the Green Film Project. The author of the best film will receive as a reward a professional camera.

The new ambassador of the “BABYLON” award for 2022 is Vladimir Martinovski.
Vladimir Martinovski is a poet, short story writer, essayist, theorist and literary translator. He is a professor in the subject Comparative Poetics at the Department of General and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Philology “Blaze Koneski”, University “St. Cyril and Methodius ”in Skopje.
The inauguration was held at Europe House Skopje, followed by a workshop covering subjects as enrollment criteria, evaluation process, the benefits of participating and winning the award, as well as experiences and useful tips from experienced literary translators.
